Led by Ed Drewitt our fourth Wild Wednesday in 2013 looked at the huge range of trees at Eastwood Farm.

On a warm evening with breaking cloud it was interesting to compare the older trees that date from when Eastwood Farm was still a dairy farm with the newer growth on the tipped area. There were also lots of swifts overhead and we we had a great view of a buzzard. As a bonus a large bat (greater horseshoe?) was flying over Beeses while we drank coffee on the deck after the walk.

A big thank you also to Beese's Riverside Bar & Tea Gardens for their support of the Wild Wednesday's.

More Wild Wednesdays:

• Wed 28th August 7.30pm - Moth hunt with Rupert Higgins

• Wed 25th September 7.30pm - Owl Prowl with Ian McGuire

No need to book - just turn up

Coffee or tea will be available at Beese's after the walks.

Meet in in Beese's car park - directions on Beese's website.

Beese's ferry will be running from Conham
(from approx 15 min before the walk start time - and they will take you back afterwards!).
