Led by Rupert Higgins our third Wild Wednesday in 2013 was looking for bugs and other beasties.
On a sumny evening we first explored the meadow next to Beese's car park where there were several chimney sweeper moths. Walking down the track to the water meadows there was a section that was almost covered with small frogs. By the river we found several species of weevils and also saw a heron on the lagoon island. The swans were also on the lagoon with their cygnet.
Our thanks to Rupert for a very informative evening.
A big thank you also to Beese's Riverside Bar & Tea Gardens for their support of the Wild Wednesday's.
